how was the basil beer?

As soon as you raised the glass to your nose it had the holy fuck factor - fresh bursting Thai Basil, anise and mint notes, refreshing acidity. At first it seemed like it would be too much to drink much of, the aroma was considerably stronger than the flavour and once the palate acclimatized to the flavour it went down like water. I had 3 in about 90 minutes then split the scene since my allergies were acting up like nuts otherwise I would have had more. Phenomenal with an array of foods and deliciously different on its own.

I'm sure a lot of those who tried it only had one exclaiming it was too intense to have any more much the same way most people are when they have a really hoppy IPA. I for one thought it was fabulous overall and I am my own biggest critic. I'll be making it again for sure

As I said last night, I really enjoyed that beer. Went down well, smelled good. Even though it was my first (and one of only a few) on the day, apparently my ability to describe it was turned off.
