Bulk spice buy - CLOSED, lol

Post by mr x » Tue Apr 17, 2012 9:28 pm

Anybody up for a group spice buy? I need some stuff that's hard to find locally. Here's on place I was looking, but i'm up for any supplier that makes sense.

I don't think I need anything, but saw this on their site
Birch Bark
While birch bark is not exactly a spice – it certainly does not have wide-ranging culinary uses – it is useful for some things. In particular, it is an ingredient in many home-made root beer recipes.

It also has a long history of medicinal applications. Known as a natural anti-inflammatory, infusions of birch bark are said to help with fevers, stomach-aches, skin outbreaks and joint pain. We can’t speak knowledgeably about those effects, though. All we know is that our wild-harvested birch bark helps make a mean home-brewed root beer.
Product Container Weight Price
Birch Bark - cut Regular Refill Bag 45g $4.99
Apparently, I've got a virtual gold mine growing out of the ground. I'd better check that site again, maybe they need a Canadian supplier of spruce or poplar

Fuck! I just made the order. I should have checked this thread again since this morning. I'll send them a message and see if I can add onto the order before they process and ship it.

Ok, sounds like I missed this. I assume we save a bit on shipping by going group (school me).. if so, I'll put together another thread that has a bit more lead time. :moon: :P

Sorry guys, when it comes to food, I get impatient. :mmm: I want to make a cheesecake on my next days off. :mmm: :mmm:

Shipping is pretty reasonable anyway, my initial order was 12 bucks.

So do you know what made it through on your order? I'm probably going to order mine in the next day or two if it didn't make it on yours.
