LF: Some beer bottles

Post by moxie » Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:19 pm

Anybody know where to find a couple dozen Grolsch bottles? The Gahan (PEI) bottles would also work out, (short 500ml) but I'd prefer the swing tops. If you've got some kicking around, I could sure use 'em. Name your price. I have a chrome beer faucet collecting dust if that is any interest to you... Other miscellaneous items for trade, just let me know what you are looking for (that includes money!)

Let me see what I can do. A buddy at work is getting rid of some Grolsch bottles. He's been kinda slack about dropping them off, but let me remind him again that I want them.

If X changes his mind, I've got a bunch of Grolsch & Fischer (brown glass, ~600ml swing tops). I've probably got a few Gahan/Picaroons (I think they're they same) kicking around too.

A chrome faucet is like gold to someone still collecting parts for his kegerator.

Well if there are enough floating around out there, I could make use of about 36. I can easily go pick 'em up around town. Name your price. If anyone needs that chrome faucet, by all means... I will poke around to see if I've got anything else that may be of use to someone building a kegerator.

How tall are the 600ml swing tops? I have some of the 750s and they are too tall unfortunately. I can't use anything taller than about 10 1/4 inches. Brown is definitely preferable to green, but only if they will stack in milk crates.

Please send me a PM if you've got any for me.

I have a keg to keg jumper that hasn't gotten much use... Basically it's just two liquid QDs and a liquid line... If anybody is really hurting for QDs I can cannibalize that.

The Fischer bottles are 650ml and you can perfectly fit 12 into a milk crate and they do in deed stack nicely :)

The newer style grolsch are 450ml and you can fit 16 in a milk crate. The old style are 473ml, and 15 fit in a milk crate but they're tight. ;)

I can transport things from Amherst and/or Fredericton back to Halifax to help make this love match happen. I am making that trip on Wednesday.

If you haven't come up with bottles yet I can trade you 3 dozen for the faucet. PM me for pickup/dropoff info.

I picked up Jmac's 5 dozen Fisher bottles this morning in Fredericton, and dropped them off @ moxie's this afternoon.
And will be returning with Jmac's faucet and keg connector on Monday.
Hooray!

Yup, thanks for the replies. I've got plenty of bottles. Looking forward to brewing a bit more to keep the stream going.

Thanks again for facilitating the exchange, Chris!
