Can't wait until they start pushing this as the original recipe. I hear the Centennial Hop crop of 1842 was outstanding.RobD wrote:Coming soon... (to Ontario at least). Not great news. From the twitter account, they are getting the contractor in tomorrow to get working on it. I'm hoping the late Jan/early Feb date is realistic.

Stone Brewing’s planned hotel may feature beer taps in every room
How on earth do you keep all those lines clean? I love the idea that I might just be able to get a Stone at any time of day or night, but I wonder if they've thought that through...

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

the rumour i'd heard was that they were moving production of their main beers out to burnside, but keeping seasonals and specialties being brewed there. either way i can't imagine them giving up their retail locationLeafMan66_67 wrote:Hope that doesn't mean they are leaving Gottingen ... walking distance from the office makes for easy growler fills!LiverDance wrote:Article on Propellers expansion

Re: Beer in the news
If they want to keep the retail location, don't they have to continue brewing (if only a small amount) there? NS law certainly used to only allow a brewery to have its own retail outlet at the brewery, but I think that may have changed by now.CorneliusAlphonse wrote: the rumour i'd heard was that they were moving production of their main beers out to burnside, but keeping seasonals and specialties being brewed there. either way i can't imagine them giving up their retail location

[/b]Bitter taste for drinkers as beer is watered down to save money
One of Britain’s most popular bitters is being watered down to save money as a third of every pint now goes to the tax man.
