Tasting April 22nd

Post by BBrianBoogie » Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:15 pm

Alright folks, putting together another tasting for April 22nd. Looks like it'll be in downtown Dartmouth this time though it's not finalized yet. We can probably sort out rides when we know who's going.

Same deal as usual, everyone brings a bottle or two (preferably 750ml or equivalent combo of small bottles). Beers not available here is the idea, but homebrew as well as aged bottles are also certainly welcome.

Confirmed for Friday. This one's gonna be at Tim's place in Dartmouth, I'll let him provide the details. So far me, Chris, Dave and Tim. Everyone is certainly welcome.

Yup this is at my place. I think we usually start around 7:00. I'm just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal and near several bus routes. Also lots of parking on the street nearby if you're driving.

PM me for directions.

One more thing. I do have two cats who will want to be your friend. I'll give the house a good cleaning beforehand but if you have allergies drug up!

I'll be there, but will take plenty of breaks in the fresh air. Don't want any drugs to inhibit my drinking. :)

Thanks for letting me hang out all day with you, Tim. Looking forward to tasting the Tripel IPA (Houblon Chouffe clone) in a few weeks.
The tasting went well, too: a 24-year old Tripel, 2-year old Christmas beer, some new IPAs, and everything in between. Great night!

Had a blast. Some very tasty beers, good conversation and a cat in a box.

Where is this recipe? :pow:
Maybe soon we can compare to my Houblon Chouffe brett version. :)
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

What is it with cats in boxes? You'd think they were all made from pressed catnip, or something. Our normally aloof cat loses all semblance of dignity the moment he sees an open box.
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale
