I was going to offer to do that, but I'll be in/on the way to Newfoundland that day. Worst case scenario, we'll pay you to ship it into town.

Sandy,
I don't mind paying to mail them. Its quite exciting being part of this intetnational operation. But if you show
up I got 3 branded english pint glasses hoping to put them towards
the trade for the brewnosers glass.
Sitting in a pub with my mum drinking a pint of Doombar from the cask and using their wifi.

Chalmers, parts not here yet. Is that OK?
I leave for London on Sunday. If they come late I can get my mother to mail them to Canada.

Will email the retailer. They were marked as shipped on Sunday, coming from Bristol. I do not have a tracking number, but I've requested it.

Thanks!

Hi Chalmers, they came.very nice SS fittings. 8 of them, but it looks like they are 3/4 inch female. I thought you needed 1/2 inch? Please advise or check your order.
Thanks

The female thread itself is 3/4".
Does that help?

Oh crud. I definitely ordered 1/2". Is there anything written on the fittings to indicate size, or were you able to measure it on the inside?

Just note that a 1/2" NPT has an outside diameter of about 3/4 inch.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

If that was the measurement, I think we'll be OK.
Doesn't exactly translate in the picture, but outer diameter is 3/4".

Looks right. What Mr. X says makes sense. The actual bore of the fitting is 1/2". If your male thread is roughly 3/4 on the outside then we have a match
Panic over :)

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

The international pump fittings operation was a complete success. No trouble with customs and the fittings are now on on Canadian soil in Wolfville. I looked out for a Brewnoser at the airport but “just” an adorable wife and kid. We need to take on a bigger challenge next time. Good job Chandlers and Sandy.
Gotto go and have some of my beer. My wife didn't drink it all while I was away. Nice to be back but great trip. Got some great real ale and brewery pictures and stories to post...later.

Woohoo! Glad to hear it was a success. I left YHZ at 11 this morning, so I think I was off the hook to meet you.

Sandy, are you still planning on going to the Valley this weekend? If not, maybe we could ask Mark to send the fittings to town, and repay him in BN glassware (which I think we're doing anyway).

And, BTW, final cost is $17 per person (2 fittings) when y'all have a chance.

Sandy, Saturday would be a good day. Bring your wife (and kids if you have any). I’d like you to taste my beer. Maybe Chalmers can come along with family if he is back by then. Bring swimming gear and jump in the pool. Our 4 year old is going with the baby sitter for the evening and night on Saturday and Kathleen and I are hitting the town. If I get you pissed on my beer and you want to come on a Wolfville pub crawl we have spare rooms. We just went to the Port pub for lunch and the guy has made a great Belgian Blonde. Failing that just stop by and pick up the fittings. I can also mail them if doesn’t work out that you can come.
I’ll pm you my address and phone.

Thanks very much for the offer, Mark, but I'm out of province this weekend, down in Portland for a Beer Fest. Sounds like if the weather cooperates, it'll be a great time!

Sandy: I"m home Wednesday evening (find if you'd like to drop by), then leave Thursday afternoon for Portland, back Sunday night. I'm meeting Shane for lunch Thursday (work permitting) at H&T, if that sounds appealing. Really, there's no rush, as I'll have to meet again to get the pieces from you.
In addition to us 3, I ordered a set for Graham, based on his request (albeit, in the other thread before we had this one going).

It was a little early but what the heck. Very nice to meet your family. Thank you again.

Chris/Brian I stopped by but no one was home.

Let me know and we can get together, or I'll take them to the grain exchange.
