Hello everyone.
Just joined the forum today. My name is Josh. My girlfriend(Sarah) and I have completed one BrewHouse kit and are planning our second and possibly third for the summer. We're also planning on getting the ingredients to do a 3L all grain brew very shortly. I love craft beer and have found brewing so far to be very fun!

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Welcome Josh and Sarah. Brewing is a great past time and hobby. Honnestly beer has become kind of an obsession for me, and it's not even the drinking part that has me hooked. So much to learn, and do. Welcome to the brew nosers!

Welcome aboard! Those Brewhouse/Festa kits make very decent beer, and are an excellent way to get started. You can also use them to perfect your fermentation and packaging process (bottles or kegs), without having to go through the whole brew-day. Any ideas on what you'll brew for the 3L batch?
Keep in mind that we've got our monthly HRM meeting next Tuesday, and new faces are always welcome!

Thanks everyone!
I think we're going to make a German Rauchbier. One of those nice kits from from everwoodave. I love flavourful beer, but haven't been on the super hoppy bitterness train lately, so figured that would be a great beer to try. And for the summer I think we're going to make a super easy drinking American lager style.
I'm looking forward to getting involved in the monthly meetings, but I'm currently working evenings till I start my new job in a few weeks.
