Should be a good time!
I'm looking forward to it.
Lots to get done around this place between now and then. 8 Windows and a patio door installed, Back Deck addition (only 12x12 around a pine tree), basement bedroom built, some landscaping and if I have the money my stone fire pit.
I figure we have a pot luck, a few jockey boxes, lawn games, and a fire would be ideal. I may need to invite the neighbor's so they don't hate us.

Like BNBSB I'll be unable to attend due to the impending birth of my daughter. If love to drop by for a few pints some day though...

Completely understandable, I was there 1.5 years ago haha, I hate the "dry month". However if you are up this way, feel free to drop in.jtmwhyte wrote:Like BNBSB I'll be unable to attend due to the impending birth of my daughter. If love to drop by for a few pints some day though...

So things are still a go for this event. I'll need a lot of beer by the time this arrives haha. Presently into the thick of 3 major reno's I'm planning on finishing by then.
So Potluck, Lawn games and finish with a fire. can everyone let me know if you are planning on attending? Just want to get some numbers together to scare the wife with.

I'm in, flying solo. Is there a place I can pitch a tent or a couch I can crash on?

My yard can handle a few small tents. However I'm going to petition the neighbors this week about using their yards. However worst case scenario. I will have at least 1 couch (hopefully 2 pending renos), and floor space for air mattresses.

So does anyone have a jockey box or lawn games? Also if I haven't stated it I'd recommend bringing a lawn chair I only have so many to go around. I'll refrain from putting up my pool until after the event to allow for that much more space.
As for food. Anyone planning on bringing a specialty dish? I'm planning on Donair Nachos myself.

I have a two tap rolling garbage can jockey box thingamajig that I'll bring. No lawn darts, I was hoping you had some. Haven't thought about food yet, will get thinking. Do you have capacity to cook up 20+ sausages, if we did a custom order as we've done in years previous?

I have a 4 burner propane BBQ that's in really rough shape but it does the trick.

I've opened a makeshift sheet for this. So far I've added a Guest List with any +'s, a food list (thanks Derek for the idea), and a odd ball list.
I'm going to have a few kegs on the go from Stanley, however if the guest list is huge, not sure I can supply everyone but will definitely supply a few kegs.
I'm getting excited for this. Any suggestions or recommendations please let me know.

Keith, you crazy bastard! No one is expecting you to provide us all with beer! I don't think you've made it to a "Brewnosers Event[TRADE MARK SIGN]" before, but there is always an excess of beer, as everyone brings a keg or some bottles of something to share. We have *never* run out of beer at these events, though some of us have tried our damnedest to make it happen.

So as it stands I can house about 5 smaller tents between myself and my neighbor. I'm excited for this event and there seems to be a lot of interest for a great turn out.
I figure doors can open around 1 and go until whenever. Potluck style so I don't think a menu is necessary per say but if you know what you are thinking of bringing post it up.
If you have some lawn games you want to play bring them along, I have room for plenty of games until the fire starts, after that we just need to reposition a few things.
I'm going to move Stanley over to the side door as I can't get him easily out. Feel free to enjoy anything I have on tap. with that being said I need to do some serious brewing. Stanley is running on fumes. Black IPA may be on tap for that day hahah.
I also have in around a dozen seats for outdoors, so if you can bring a chair or two, that would be appreciated.
I hope everyone can make it. and feel free to bring your better half.
I'm to busy to muck with that spreadsheet right now. So going to try to organize this as best as possible through this thread.

Re: Summer Kick Off - Potluck & Beers - June 7th - Sackville
So we are coming up towards the event. Honestly I've been so busy trying to get reno's done before this event I haven't given this too much thought. I'm down to the last bit of painting so I can start to focus on this a bit more.
I'm going to see if I can get a few coolers of Ice from the local Boston Pizza. If not is anyone able to get ice?
As for food, it will be a pot luck. Not sure if we need to organize what everyone is bringing? I'm sure there will be plenty of selection.
I know Chris (Chalmers) is bringing his 2 tap Jockey Box. Do we have any other portable setups?
Some people mentioned they would bring some lawn games. If you want to bring one, feel free.
I have enough room for in around 5 games going at once. My neighbor has volunteered use of his yard if necessary.
As for tent spots, we have about 5 spots for smaller tents. Unfortunately no room for massive tents.
And for beer, it's looking like Stanley will be fully stocked, I'm brewing a ton this weekend and I'll wheel him over to the side door as I can't get him out without a full tear down. As I have 5 taps, we can throw a couple guest kegs (ball lock) in there.
As for the numbers I'm at a loss on what to expect. Presently I think 5-75 is what I'll be expecting lol. If you are planning on attending let me know so my wife isn't in complete shock. lol.

I plan to go, if my IBA is drinkable I'll bring a couple growlers, otherwise it will be something from a brewpub. And for food - I'll likely bring some jalapeño cornbread, maybe something else. Might bring my brother, too - but no guarantees there
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere
