HELP!

Post by BrianMac » Fri Apr 18, 2014 11:03 am

Got an Irish stout (all grain kit from NG.
Forgot to ask what grain was substituted for the extracts!
I have:
550 g roasted barley - crushed
450 g dark crystal malt - crushed
2.8 kg of ? (this is the problem!)

28 grams northern brewer (Boil)
22 grams Cascade (finishing)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Brian

Most likely 2row.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Maris Otter would likely do as well.

Jeff:
If I run it through BEERSMITH as 2 row, recipe should be OK?

Right on, BrianMac!

With the exception of leg extensions for the Blichmann, I think you're working with the same set-up we have. Rad.

How'd the brew go?

It went A-one! I think my boil off was a little more than I allowed for but , I topped it up.
I put the yeast in it and alls good.
