Sooo… in typical Upstreet fashion we’ve come up with a brilliant idea at the last minute and now need to figure out a way to pull it off. We want to show the world how wise, quirky, insightful and hilarious Islanders are by printing “Islandism’s” under the cap of every beer we bottle and sell. We got really excited and placed the order, but now we have to come up with at least 250 phrases in less than a week!

We’re calling it #UnderTheCap and we need you to help us make it happen. Here’s how it’s going to work:

1) Dig deep in your brain to come up with the best Island phrases, advice, jokes, quirks or quotes you know. Try and keep it short.

2) Share your “Islandism” by commenting on Facebook or Instagram, or Tweet us using #UnderTheCap.

3) We’ll filter through the thousands of submissions (fingers crossed) and pick the best 250 to be featured #UnderTheCap.

Making money is a "macro idea" as well but there aren't too many breweries who don't want to try that! Giver Hogie & Co. , can't wait to try your beer
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Fantastic way to get the island involved. Whether inadvertent or not, this is pure marketing genius.

Agreed, brilliant idea. There's no better way to get Islanders behind something (especially when it's something "new") than to make them feel like they're a part of it.

We're certainly no marketing geniuses. Just a fun idea that caught on much more than we even thought it would. Glad the other guys are managing it though. I'm staying focused on the beer and the construction!

11 tanks in total. Took a couple hours to get the first one (MLT) in place, but we got more efficient each time. Got the last 3 tanks placed in just over an hour.

I'll post more of the gear later. One more truck coming in today!

Still lots to do, steam, electrical, glycol, etc. over the next few weeks but this was the biggest day yet!
