Blueberry IPA concoction

Post by titosbrewing » Thu Jun 14, 2018 1:59 pm

Hey,

I have signed up for a betabrew with good robot and I really want to develop and brew an IPA. The friend I am doing it with, AndyBurgs, has access to Nova Scotian blueberries from his family farm. I am just looking for some feedback on making IPAs with an infusion of a fruit. Any specific steps need to be taken, what ingredients would compliment each other the best, etc.

Cheers mates

The guys at Upstreet did a IIPA with wild bluerberry and Mosaic hops (have notes of blueberries themselves). Never had it but it sounded interesting.

Give hogie a shout (he's on this forum), he's the co-owner/brewmaster at Upstreet so I'm sure he'd be able to help.
On tap: Earl Grey Dark Mild, Rye Saison, Haskap Berliner Weisse, Hibiscus Lager
Fermenting: Barleywine, American Helles, Peach Rooibos Wit/Saison, Session NEIPA
Coming up: Sour Red
Bottled: Dry-Hopped Belgian Golden Strong, RIS
Souring: Golden Sour, Sour Wheat, Sour Saison
