Trois Mousquetaires @ Premier

Post by Tim Gregory » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:39 pm

I don't think I saw this posted anywhere, apologies if it has..

Premier now has several different brands from Trois Mousquetaires. I picked up a Baltic Porter. Only 7.99 for the 750!

I also saw Mort Subite (I think it was the Frambroise) and a few other new things.

A few interesting things in their catalogue... the MS Kriek you mentioned, plus Duchesse de Bourgogne.
All the 3 Musketeers look pick-up worthy. Be nice to get some for me plus future Aleanders meetings!

They picked up a bunch of stuff this week. Trois Mousquetaires is probably the highlight, but also a number of things that the SAQ carries. More Trappists coming in the next few weeks too according to Gord. Orval, though, is still locked up by the powers that be, so I guess I'll continue to stock up on that one in NB. Lovely move to de-list something and more than 5 years later still not let anyone else sell it.

Orval seems to be available fairly regularly on the Island as well. At least at the Oak Tree Place LC.

Yeah, I don't know if they'll ever sell all of the Orval that's over here... I should just start hoarding it and aging it!

I had been trying that, picking up a couple of bottles each time I'm over. Somehow, they keep disappearing from my stash though. No idea how that's happening… X)

Was at Premier yesterday and all the new Trappists had arrived. Achel Blond and Bruin, Chimay Red, White, and Blue, and Rochefort 6 to go along with the 8 and 10 they already had. They've also got a couple of Trappist gift packs in for Christmas, but they're a bit pricy. One was 4 Rochefort 8s plus glass for $40, another was 3 each of Westmalle Dubbel and Tripel for $45. Also one new St. Sylvestre Bier de Garde and their gift pack with a 3 Monts and their winter beer plus glasses for each for $30.

And this one may have been mentioned before, but it was the first time I've seen Schlenkerla Marzen there.
