The original plan was to make a Rauchbier, but lagering was in the cards so switched it up to a Smoked Porter. It was brewed right around the time the designated smoking area fiasco went down so I chose By-Law N-300 as the name.
I usually brew with @danlatimer, and we take 5 gallons each from his 10-gallon system, but lately, we've started to run a separate brew on my 5-gallon setup which is where this was brewed. This beer was intended to be a little bigger, but I got a little greedy on the sparge and didn't dare boil it as aggressively as I usually do, so the batch ended up having an extra 2 liters.
