Festa Brew Red Ale

Post by bandarker » Sat Apr 16, 2016 1:07 pm

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had tried the Festa Red kit. I'd like a batch of something more similar to Uncle Leo's than Rickard's but setting aside 6 hours for a brew day is getting tougher and tougher. Any experience with this kit?

Its been years, but I would say it's Rickards like.

Almost through my first keg of Festa Red and it was great. Very much like Rickards. One of my favourites now.
Currently on tap:
1) Festa Brown Ale
2) Festa Pale Ale
3) Best Case Northern Lights
4) Festa Continental Pilsner

In the bucket: Empty
In the carboy: Empty

Buy yourself a 24 and you'll be happy for a weekend. Teach yourself to homebrew and you'll be happy for a lifetime. :)

I've lots of experience with FR...carbonation can make it like a Kilkenny (low carbed) or like Rickards (higher carbed)...I liked it either way.
At Bat: several Czech Pils
On Deck: Cream Ale
In the Hole: Kolsch
Clean Up: Tall Ships Ale clones
On tap: Propeller Pils, Festa Cream Ale
