Hey Everyone,
Couldn't find a new thread on this so I thought I'd start one. Let's get it started. Who's going and what session are you going to? I've got a babysitter and a DD so I'm going this year for sure. I was also reading the FAQs and I came across this:
Are there discount rates for groups or organizations?
Discount rates are available for groups of 15 or more. Please contact Joanne at
joanne@seaportbeerfest.com.
Anyone want to see if we can get a group together to get discount tickets?

I'm not committing until I see the list of breweries which they still don't' have posted. I've heard the majority of local breweries are not attending this year, from what I heard they don't get paid for there product and it's not worth their time due to existing supply issues. I don't feel like vesting my time and money there when I could drop it at RB, Stillwell or even hit premier and enjoy just as if not more.
However I'm interested in the group buy pending I like the beer list.

Edit. I corrected my fucked up English.

Still don't have a list? What's the dates?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the
absolute letter.

Aug 8 & 9th.
We're working hard to organize the 2014 list of great craft beers, imports and ciders.
In the meantime here's last year's amazing beer list and site plan!
Check back often for updates.

Giving away free beer sucks ballzzzzzz! I'd rather support an event that actually gives back to the community. aka Local Craft Breweries. But then again, that's my small business opinion.

Which is one of the reasons I don't think I'm attending. Why shouldn't the breweries make money to cover their expenses, instead of the organizer pocketing it all.

Agreed Jeff. It's the same reason why I won't participate in the Atlantic Beer Festival in Moncton. Not only do they not pay for your kegs, they charge $200 for a fawking table as well. Fuck that shit! The Picaroons Brewer's Bash, on the other hand, will be a festival that I'll never want to miss attending as a brewer.

I have heard nothing good of this fest. I'm not opposed to finding out for myself if that encludes hanging out with some good folks.

haha. I'd be there myself if I didn't hear of the recently that the brewers got shit while the organizer is raking in the $$$. I'm just supporting the small guys that deliver us the delicious brews.
However in light of it. I'm going to invest my ticket fare into a couple of fine establishments downtown.

I don't know anything about it, but I can smell a rat from all the way up here in Wolfville.

Great read Jimmy, reminded me of the
"Great Canadian Beer Expo." (another great read).
I cringed the whole way through that thread though.
We've got some astute people on here.
Brewnosers are a smart bunch, with a passion for beer, and a nose for BS to boot.

On their site
here they have posted last year's "amazing beer list" as an example of what this year could be like:
http://seaportbeerfest.com/sites/defaul ... ck_web.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't understand. Everyone is there, including RB. Will they all be there this year?
