Random Questions
In honour of Bluenose's random thoughts thread (I like that idea) I thought I'd start a random question thread to go with it.
Can't think of anything just now apart from why did the chicken cross the road?

Re: Random Questions
I respectfully object to this thread! Afterall, my first random thought was a question, rhetorical though it might be

Oh shit! Sorry. Thread closed. Would you consider editing your thread title to random thoughts and questions?bluenose wrote:I respectfully object to this thread! Afterall, my first random thought was a question, rhetorical though it might be

Re: Random Questions
in hindsight, perhaps my previous objection was premature... your thread is specifically for random questions whilst my thread was for random thoughts
your thread is the socratic philosophy to my thread's verbal diarrhea

Re: Random Questions
The chicken is crossing the road because of all the attention she gets. They love attention, that's why they squawk and cackle. And Ralph want's to take that all away from the chicken? what would the chicken's life be like after that? just laying eggs I suppose. Then she'd be crossing the road to try to get run over.chicanuck wrote:“I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.”GuingesRock wrote:In honour of Bluenose's random thoughts thread (I like that idea) I thought I'd start a random question thread to go with it.

I think the the correct question would be: "is it a long ton or a short ton?"gm- wrote:Is it a metric shit tonne or imperial shit tonne?bluenose wrote:Ok all you engineers... What's the metric conversion for a 'shit tonne'?

Re: Random Questions
My marine semester students determined that we caught a metric shit ton of sea cucumbers when we were bottom trawling in the Bay of Fundy, so now I know that there are 523 sea cucumbers in a metric shit ton.
