Can't seem to track this stuff down in Halifax. Any suggestions? (I've tried Walmart, Superstore..)

Thanks

Have you given Costco a try? I know I've seen it at the Moncton store before.

FWIW I've been using the normal oxyclean for years now and I have had no problems with it.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Tried Costco.. couldn't find any Oxi-clean there?

LD, you don't find the little blue bits leave any 'smell's behind? If so, I'll just go grab one of those.

Thanks

I've always used regular detergent for initial cleaning. If that doesn't leave a smell (and it doesn't) I don't see why the oxyclean should be a problem - it just means you need to be sure to rinse well
Currently on tap: Whiter Shade of Pale!
In keg: .
In Primary: Nothing

No noticeable smells at all, like I said I've been using it for years and I'm happy with the way my beers turn out. I use it in plastic buckets, glass carboys, better bottles and kegs; i always give everyting a good rinse after it's done cleaning too. They have it at costco in bayers lake, or at least they usually do. That's where I get it.

I use the "Nature Clean" version found in the health food section of the superstore.

Ended up with the Great Value version from Walmart, no little blue bits so assuming fragrance free (though doesn't sound like it matters anyways).

Thanks guys

Tim

You should be able to get the MSDS sheet from Wal-Mart. It should list what is in the product. You'll probably have to search by UPC as I've found a lot of their products aren't listed by name.

I am currently also using the Great Valu brand from Walmart, big tub for around $10 (I forget exactly). Also the Zellers brand has no blue specs / detergent or whatever.
Electric Brewery Build
On tap at RubberToe's:
Sometimes on a Sunday Belgian Dubbel, Oaked Old Ale, Ordinary Bitter
