Re: [Meeting] January 10th
The problem lies with some people being forum-only, and some members being listserv-only. We still haven't figured out a perfect way to bridge that gap.
Any volunteers? I can't host, as I'm still working out my travel schedule for next week.

What we've tried to do (not always successfully) is discuss and decide on the forum, then announce on the listserv.

Any volunteers? Let's get this sorted this weekend so we can post it to the listserv Monday morning. Or we can post up Monday morning that we don't have a venue, and ask any of those folks if they're able.

There is a perfect solution. Stop using the listserve and let it die.chalmers wrote:The problem lies with some people being forum-only, and some members being listserv-only. We still haven't figured out a perfect way to bridge that gap.
I'm on slim pickings for meetings this year. This month is iffy, and looking at my schedule, the only other dates will be March, April, and November......ugh.

Re: [Meeting] January 10th
I think the monthly meetings are fixed as the second tuesday in the month. Additional meetings are always welcome though, I believe.. there were a few friday night alternative meetings over the last year or so. i think it just needs the interest!sleepyjamie wrote:is there any way to host these once in a while on the weekends?

Yeah, we do some smaller friday night events now and then, usually not as well advertised. I'll keep you in mind next time something comes along.

I'm recovering from a renovation so I'm not in a good position to host.

I guess I could host if folks don't mind a trip to the dark side. But if someone else would rather then by all means feel free. I'm just a 10 minute walk or a short busride from the ferry terminal. Let me know. I'm gonna go clean the bathroom just in case. lol

Yeah that's true. If anyone has allergies we do have 2 cats who are your new best friends. The house was vacuumed yesterday so should be reletively hair free.
2 votes... I guess that makes it official?

I'd like to, but I doubt I can make tonight. Long day here at the goo factory...

I am going. After hijacking last month's Darkside meeting, I owe it to the "other side". And for you, homebrewcrew, meetings ALWAYS involve beer. Some home made, some made in factories, some made in nice small micros by zealots. You can bring what you like, but you have to have thirst.

Thanks for coming everyone. I never hosted before because I thought no one would come to Dartmouth, but I guess we did allright. Crystal counted 14 people. Here's some of the stuff we tried:

Nice lineup, I hope there was some homebrew in there as well.
I really like the simple malt goldings IPA, how was the stout?
I also have a bottle of the creme brulee, I'm curious how it tasted as well?

Re: January 10th - Halifax Monthly Meeting
There was homebrew from Tim, Jeremy and ... anyone else? I forget if Ben or Kyle had brought any.
The Creme Brulee was rocking. I could sit and smell that thing all night. LD, when are we brewing this one??
It's been in my "to-brew" list for too long!
