Post by whisle pig » Mon Jan 23, 2012 4:34 pm

Anyone got a sugestion on were to get flaked corn other then Nobel grape?
I need about 5 lb but would buy some more if needed for an order from some where; nothing against Nobel , just don't get to the city much anymore.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Peter

I don't know where else to get that. Maybe use Corn Flakes, lol.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I've got some you could have, but same problem, you'd have to get into the city.

Health food stores may have it. I used to buy it at a local oxfam store that specalized in health food supplies.
And if you are going through that much corn, buy it by the sack.

Just do a cereal mash with corn meal. Like they used to do it before flaked corn. http://www.ingermann.com/cerealmash.html

And you could also do a cereal mash using corn grits.

Thanks for the offer Tim, I will try and get down for a meeting soon, and put a face to names.

The cereal mash looks pretty easy, I've made polenta aout 10,000 times in my carrer so the concept seems easy enough.
Thanks
