September Brewnoser's Meeting
I am usually terrible with getting organized and checking the site to find the location of the monthly Brewnoser's meeting so with this being the last official day of my vacation, I thought I'd check to see if there is a plan for the September 11th meeting. I haven't yet been to a meeting but am hoping September is the start of new set of routines including Brewnoser Tasting nights. .
I do not yet have any home brews, but I do have some Gahan Beach Chair Lager that I will bring as well as a few Gritty's Pale Ale.
Thanks
Earl

No, Hoptoberfest is like a blue moon – a second monthly meetup which happens a few times per year.Stusbrews wrote:Im in the same boat...missed the Aug meet, but would really like to meet a few folk and try someone elses brews. (like my own, but always nice to compare)

Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Nothing ever preempts the second Tuesday meeting. There are enough of us that some people will always be able to meet.

Anyone willing to host? July was in Spryfield, Aug on the Peninsula, will September be in Dartmouth, Sackville, etc?

I could probably host at my new place in Cole harbour if people think that isn't too far out. If it is, no problem, just say so. You Won't hurt my feelings

Re: September Brewnoser's Meeting
I have Wednesdays "off" this year (senior project day) so I'm cool with the meeting being far.

Is 'senior project' what passes for a thesis in your program?

I probably won't stay all that late given I'll have to drive, but I'm fine with that! Will need an address though if it is at Tim's.

Yes. It's basically the same thing, but a consulting report rather than original problem research.KMcK wrote:Is 'senior project' what passes for a thesis in your program?

Re: September Brewnoser's Meeting
I am still interested in attending this month, but now have my son's hockey schedule getting in the way (typical!). What time do you usually start? I will try to find alternate arrangements so that I can attend. Tim can you send me your address if it is decided that you are hosting.
Thanks

Re: September Brewnoser's Meeting
Well there haven't been any nays except for the wiseguy in BC so I guess it's on for Tuesday.
The place is not far from the peninsula, maybe 15 mins. Address is 124 Sirius Crescent. No farther than Chalmer's place really.
If you're responsible enough to be driving just go out Portland street until you get to Cole Harbour. Go left on Otago, left on Poplar, and right on Sirius, and you're there. Maybe drivers can offer seats to non-drivers?
If you're bussing take the 68 from the bridge terminal or the ferry terminal. It will go left on Otago from Portland, but will go right on Poplar. Stay on it until it turns right again on Circassion. The stop is right after the turn onto Circassion so be ready. Turn around and cross Poplar. There's a walkway that leads into Sirius and my house will be the second on the left.
As always we start between 7:30 and 8:00. Bring any homebrews, interesting beer you've picked up, aged stuff, snacks, etc you want to share. Newcomers welcome!

Re: September Brewnoser's Meeting
I forgot about an event early in the evening, but I may head over around 9:30 or 10, so I'd be able to bring people back to the South End (or downtown Dartmouth). I will confirm my plans on Tuesday. This way people could bus out if they wanted.

I'm going to head over around 8 and drive back sometime around 11, I'll have room for up to four people. PM me if you would like a lift – I've got Paul marked down for at least the way back.
