The wife and I are in Moncton for Wed-Sat next week.
Any advise as to where to stay (not to stay) eat, drink and be merry?

Saigon Thai (7 Orange Lane) is great. I really enjoyed their food, the couple times I been there, and will be going back my next trip. As a bonus @ 5 Orange Lane is the Pumphouse Brewery!

I like to stay at the Crowne Plaza, 1100 Main Street.
I like to eat/drink at Tide & Boar at 700 Main St (very close to Orange Lane). Can get Celtic Knot on tap, sometimes Grimross.
I always hit up Marky's Laundromat for beer, 382 St George Street. Celtic Knot usually on here, too. Sometimes Acadie-Broue.
And maybe the Pumphouse if something interesting's on.
These are all within walking distance.

I was in the area around early December and decided to check out the Tide and Boar. Well, I experienced some of the worst shite service and food I've ever had. $50 and 90 minutes of my life I can never get back!chalmers wrote:I like to stay at the Crowne Plaza, 1100 Main Street.

Marky's is a must visit for drinking, only snackage for food.
Pump House can be a fun watering hole, they may have something interesting on tap. Food is nothing to write home about but it's generally solid.
Windjammer in the Delta Hotel is regularly listed in top places to dine - fine dining.
Little Louis' is definitely good if you like that sort of thing - fine dining.
When I travel to a new area looking for food, Trip Adviser seems to be more reliable, or have more food savvy reviewers than places like yelp etc. Look here to see Restaurants listed by rating, highest rated first:
